the perfect gift
Don't buy a jacket. Buy my book.
Literacy rates are declining. Kids rarely read whole books anymore.
You can help buck that trend.
As you finalize your holiday shopping, consider buying a copy of DIRTBAG BILLIONAIRE for the bibliophile or dirtbag in your life.
Heck, buy twenty as stocking stuffers and get a discount.
My book about Patagonia and Yvon Chouinard was published in September, and the response has been fantastic.
In the last few weeks, the Financial Times named it one of the best books of the year. Outside Magazine insisted that you buy a copy. The Next Big Idea Club called it one of the top 10 business reads of 2025. Even Jackson Hole News called said it was a must-read.
Here’s how you can help:
Amazon, Bookshop, Porchlight (bulk discounts), or Barnes & Noble are all great places to pick up your copies.
Leave a 5-star review on Amazon. Or jump in on Goodreads. This truly helps.
I’m on the road doing speaking events. If your company or organization is interested in having me talk about the book, or you know of someone who is, please reach out to me.
And here’s my recent appearance on PBS News Weekend:
Patagonia’s progress report
Last month, Patagonia put out a detailed new report on its operations and environmental impact. For students of the company and anyone working to make business a force for good, it’s worth reading the whole report.
For now, some highlights:
$180 million. That’s the amount of money that has gone to conservation and environmental activism since 2022, when Chouinard and his family gave away the company and began donating all profits to the Holdfast Collective.
174,799. That’s the number of Patagonia products the company repaired over the last fiscal year. Think of each one as a sale that didn’t happen, and you start to understand the impact.
106. That’s how many retail locations Patagonia now has across the globe. They’ve come a long way since opening the first store in San Francisco.
And there’s lots more fascinating info in the report. Check it out.
BUY at Amazon, Bookshop, Porchlight, or Barnes & Noble.
REVIEW on Amazon or Goodreads.
THANKS and happy holidays.
